Happy FRIDAY!!! I know friends it’s been a while since I posted. After a three week trip to Tennessee I needed a bit of time to get back in the groove and to just be. Do you have seasons in your life that are like that?
I love blogging and I love connecting with all of you, so thanks for reading and for inspiring me to keep it up. I actually ran in to a blog reader at an EXPO last week and it reminded me why I love blogging and sharing. She was so sweet and encouraged me to keep blogging even if it only once in a while. So thank you friend!
Well pull up a chair, get in your cozies, grab a hot drink and let’s chat.
If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that we had an incredible time at Refresh Summit South this year in Tennessee. I actually have a blog post that I am working on right now that I can’t to share with you all. This year’s theme was MADE and God spoke volumes to me about what being MADE in his image really looks like. Being in the fitness industry sometimes we get lost in the physical appearances and forget about what beauty truly is. How we are all created in God’s image, completely flawless because of grace. It challenged me to share God’s story so that other’s could find peace and rest in knowing what they were made for.  It also made me step back and trust God with a lot of things I have been wrestling with lately.
If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that our wonderful little sleeper is not sleeping so well these days. All throughout our trip in Tennessee she would wake up in the middle of the night screaming and then she would end up in our bed. I know that travel has something to do with it as well as the time change and growth. I am ok with the lack of sleep and the crazy wake up calls. For I know this is just a season and one day I will miss these days and her sweet voice begging to sleep with us. I just think its’s funny that before we were parents we used to say how we would NEVER let our kids sleep with us and now we are debating on getting a California King bed! Oh silly newbie parents we didn’t know anything
If we were having coffee right now I would tell you I would tell you that we are praying a lot about growing our family. Still in the process of getting all our paperwork for baby #2. I shared a bit on Periscope how I was having some nervousness about growing our family and how I know I just need to soak up every moment in the now and stop thinking about the future, easier said than done right?! Well these past couple weeks have been better and through prayer, scripture, and fellowship my heart has been way more at ease about the whole thing. For I know God’s plan’s are SO MUCH greater than we could ever imagine. Even through the crummy days!
If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that one of my beautiful best friends mother passed away this week and I had the privilege of attending her funeral. It was like no other funeral I have ever attended. People were laughing, smiling and chatting away. Sharing the good memories of my friend’s sweet mother. They were mourning for sure, but also they have a great hope that I could see in their eyes. The hope that she is in heaven with our heavenly father and is no longer suffering here on earth. It was a true celebration of life, a celebration of a women walking in grace and love all the days of her life. It’s not easy to walk with joy when you are in so much pain and suffering, but she did it well. She is no longer here with us in body, but her legacy lives on.
If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that the Holiday Shred has begun and the group is rocking it! There is nothing better than sweating through the holidays with 100 of my best clients! The workouts are tough, but it is always easier to get them in when you have friends cheering you on. This holiday season my  goals are to move everyday, to eat clean 75% of the time, to do yoga once a week, and to CHOOSE JOY of course:)
If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that REFRESH ATTIRE is open 24/7 now, so get your Christmas shopping on. I am actually really trying to shop local and small business this year, most my black Friday Shopping will be local and online at some of my favorite small shops.
If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that I am getting so excited about Thanksgiving. This year we are having a little friends giving that my friend Megan is putting on the day before Thanksgiving and then celebrating with my family on Thanksgiving. We are also having our annual Turkey Trot FUN RUN 5k and 10k and a little brunch afterwards. So many reasons to be thankful this year even if life hasn’t been perfect. I am so thankful for the family and friends I get to share this holiday with and I am praying for the one’s that are far away. Oh and I am so looking forward to yummy FOOD!
Question: What are you thankful for this year?Â
