Today Meghann, Kelly, Theodora and I had a blast in the city…I was about to post all about it and then just realized I left my phone in the cab car and am now freaking out. I think someone might have recovered it. So now I am on a hunt an 9:30pm the night before my marathon. Breathe, just breathe…
Ok after a $25 cab fare I got my phone back, praise Jesus! Back to today’s fun!!
I got in late last night and enjoyed a slice of pizza from Lou Malnati’s. The girls were so sweet and saved me a piece. Nothing like some Chicago deep dish to start out the weekend.
Love that I am rooming with these ladies. Nothing says friendship like slumber party! Even though we were up late last night chatting away, we made sure to get out the door for breakfast at Jamba Juice.
My Pumpkin Granola blended smoothie 🙂
Meghann was video chatting with her bro. Love technology!
Well HELLO Chicago!!!
After breakfast Brie and I hit up the EXPO! Hello can we say CANDY store!
The shirts are so cute and they are cut for a women!
I swung by the St. Jude Heroes Booth to let them know I was here. Once again THANK YOU to all of you who helped me raise money for this amazing cause!! I am so proud to be running for a wonderful cause!
They even gave me this cute little photo frame 🙂
How fun it this? I ran into Stephanie and her husband who are readers!! She recognized me and said hello. She is so sweet. This her third time running Chicago and is feeling under the weather, Stephanie I am praying for you!
Hmmm not a big fan of the Bondiband!
Can you find my name?
Um ..I hope these kids know that they aren’t supposed to do this at home?!
Fuel before lunch.
Lunch was at Giordano’s right outside of Willis Tower.
We all split a salad
And of course a deep dish vegetarian delight 🙂
Now that’s what I call DEEP DISH!
Bloggers in action!
My plate. Loved it. Wasn’t the best pizza ever, but the crust was to die for!
City Slickers
Then dessert!
Meghann had organized a little Frozen Yogurt meet up with some fellow bloggers/tweeters/readers in the Chicago area at Yogen Fruz.
I ordered the Mint and Chip, let’s just say tart and mint no buneo 🙁
Blogger meet-ups are just too fun!
After our dessert party we went to PLAY in Millennium Park!!
Mostly we played with the bean 🙂
Got a bagel for the morning at this place ;
Then chilled in our hotel room before dinner.
The loot from the Expo!
Off to find dinner. Once again I love technology!
Dinner was very casual this evening. We didn’t want to have to mess with reservations or have to wait hours for a table. Instead we took Matt’s suggestion and took a cab to The Pasta Bowl in Lincoln Park. (I copied that from Meghann’s blog)
Nothing like a big bowl of whole wheat pasta, chicken, and veggies to get pumped for the big race.
Over dinner we talked about goals, and pace times!! I am so excited to run long side these ladies and watch them reach their GOALS!! I will be just soaking in the whole city!
Ok looks like I need to get to bed!!

Hey exceptional blog! Does running a blog such as this take a lot of work? I have absolutely no understanding of computer programming however I was hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyway, if you have any recommendations or techniques for new blog owners please share. I understand this is off subject however I just had to ask.
