Happy MONDAY!!!
WOW, what an amazing weekend I had in San Francisco at the Foodbuzz Festivals . It’s something I look forward to ALL year long! To see a recap of my past two Foodbuzz Festivals, check them out here and here. This was my 3rd, Foodbuzz Festival and it was a little different, then the others, but still so much fun!
Who doesn’t enjoy a girls get-away that involves chocolate, wine, food, and makeovers?!!
Thursday night we got in late to San Fran and because I have taken all week off of running (do to a pulled back muscle) the 4 mile run on Friday morning was PERFECT! Melissa and I along with Megan’s hubby crushed it and it felt great to sweat again! Also, I am so loving my Mizuno Running SHOES!
When we got back home we got dressed and headed out for an afternoon of wine tasting!
Emily from Newlywife works at a local Winery, ConCannon Vineyard in the SF area and invited us to come tasting. The roomies!
I really enjoyed the ConCannon Vineyard and even bought a Cab to try at home!
We headed outdoors to the restaurant on site, it was so beautiful!
Megan’s Mom was our DD
We ordered a pitcher of their Sangria to share and some delish Tapa’s! I am so recreating this Sangria: Cupcake Riesling, pineapple juice, a little rum, and Sprite.
As you can see we hated it all
Next up was the Ruby Hill Winery.
We tried out a few more wines here, again, and I enjoyed the Syrah the best! I got a bottle for our trip to Hawaii and a bottle of their Port for Hubby!
The wine sellers were so nice and just a fun to chat with!
Of course we had to take some shots with the vineyards themselves.
Then we were off on the Bart to the Cocktail hour at the Sir Frances Drake Hotel!
We checked in and got official.
Then on to the cocktail hour. Their featured drinks were a Hibiscus Martini and some fruity peach AMAZINGNESS that I enjoyed! I always stick to wine, so I thought I would get out of my comfort zone and try some more fruity drinks (heck I was on vacation).
They also had a lot of small plates for us to enjoy as well.
I had a couple of plates filled with all sorts of goodies, the tofu was my favorite.
After we got our little start of drinks and apps, Foodbuzz gave us each $50 to spend at a local restaurant. At this point my camera died, so sadly I have no pictures of our evening at the Jardinière Restaurant. Her restaurant is very classy and I was excited to try out the Sea Bass on the menu as it is my favorite fish in the world! But sadly I was disappointed and I wish I had ordered the rabbit! None the less the experience was wonderful and I loved that we all got to enjoy a night out on the town!
Lots more to come, but for now I have to get my butt to the gym to burn off the extra 10,000 calories I consumed this weekend
