Cake Balls & Coffee

Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments on my post last night. I felt great after writing about it and then to hear all the positive feed back really made it easier for me to just let go

This morning I slept in and then enjoyed my most favorite thing to do when I am here at the FIL’s farm. Drink coffee on the porch swing

The best part of waking up…

The FIL was up nice and early to make us all breakfast.

Gotta love home cooking

He uses his mother’s original biscuit cutter to make the perfect size biscuits.

Of course I enjoyed a slice of heaven

He even makes homemade Jam!

I checked on the cake balls this morning and they turned out perfect!

Wow! I don’t like cake, but these I might eat

Today were off to French Camp Mississippi. We are visiting our good friend Zach, who used to live with us. I am so excited to see what the heck he has been up to!

Question: Have you ever made homemade biscuits?

This is something I need to conquer in the kitchen! Hubby loves them
