Well hello friends. This is the first time I have been on the computer ALL DAY! It felt good to get disconnected 🙂
This morning I went on a 40 mile bike ride! It was really a great ride. I did get really hungry toward the end and Candice shared some of her RAW Bar with me 🙂 I need to remember to bring more fuel next time.
Getting closer to that 50 and then soon 100 🙂
After our bike ride we decided to get a little Panera Bread for breakfast. I ordered their new Power Breakfast Sandwich. It was a grilled egg, turkey, cheese sammie whole wheat bread. Not too bad.
My drug 😉
After my ride I picked up the kids (Brothers and Brother GF Aubrey) and took them to the Palm Dessert Spa. We were going to go to the beach, but we weren’t sure what the weather was going to be like. You can’t go wrong with the 110 degree heat in Palm Dessert!
Ready to relax by the Pools :)
Getting our tan’s on. We were in and out and in and out of the pool. Our bodies were on fire!
We took a lunch break out in the parking lot. I called ahead and asked if we could bring food in and they said no so we decided to tail gate it 🙂
Simple Turkey and Cheese Sammies are the way to go!
Fresh and Easy Cherries.
Veggie Chips (they were gone in minutes!)
When we went in for a couple more hours I grabbed a strawberry daiquiri for me and the kids had a smoothie. I also read my new Cooking Light Mag which I can’t wait to make a bunch of recipes from this month.
The boys were brave and hit up the Sauna!!!
So as you can see this isn’t my newest bathing suit, because the bathing suit I bought last night still had the metal tags on it!! I have to go back and get them removed 🙁 I do love this bathing suit, it makes me feel like I am in another era.
After all the festivities of the day I wasn’t too excited about making dinner tonight, but I wanted something healthy and not heavy! I swung by Fresh and Easy and got some inspiration. Check out this new item!!!!
I also picked up this
and had this in the cupboard from Costco.
I had some veggies; zucchini, squash, green onions, and garlic already at home ready to grill up and add to my pasta 🙂
This whole dish turned out beautifully 🙂
I topped the veggies, turkey meat with marinara, and fresh mozzarella on a bed of brown rice pasta.
TA-DA!
Dinner for two 🙂 I had a glass of seltzer on the side.
When we eat dinner Bosco always sits by the door. It usually means he has to go potty, but when he does it at dinner he just wants attention. Look at that face!
The sun has worn me out for the day. Time to be a vegetable and watch some TV!!!
Hope you all had a fantastic Saturday.
I am getting up EARLY tomorrow morning for my first Chicago Training Long Run.
