A Historic Election

As a history major, I love being a part of it. Wow, an African American president, no matter how you voted or what you think of Obama’s politics, this is history in the making….I have to say that McCain’s closing speech was truly inspiring and admirable. I am blessed to have been able to have been a part of this election.

Tonight I stayed home with the hubby and watched the election. We had leftover chili with corn chips, one of my favorite meals in college (often called haystacks). Pictures are on my camera still and I am too lazy to get up and get them..lol…

I swung by Tj’s on the way home to pick up a few things for the week. I was trying to be mindful of what we already had at home, and the Thanksgiving challenge. So I only got a few things and spent a total of $30.

I am joining up on Kath’s Thanksgiving Challenge( thank you Kath for letting us join with you on this journey)

Our goal is to spend less than $200 on groceries from Nov. 1 through Thanksgiving Day. This will be a challenge, sense hubby and I spend way more then that! We will also be in Memphis for Thanksgving so we will be eating out a lot. We will donate 20% of the money that we do spend to a local charity(not sure which one yet).

Well I know this is a short post but I have an early run in the morning, and some reading to catch up on. Good night….
