This was our 5th McCormick Super Bowl party and the first one with a ton of kids! I remember 5 years ago when we all were DINKS (double income no kids).
This year I stepped up the theme a bit and had a Chili Bar and Kids Corner inspired by Pinterest. Every year I make the main dish and everyone else brings yummy appetizers and desserts.
I got to put one of my Christmas presents to use! This three pot crockpot was perfect to keep food warm.
Base items available for topping with the chili:
- Tortillas
- Hot Dogs
- Crinkle cut french fries
- Small bags of Fritos corn chips
Toppings:
- Shredded cheese
- Sour Cream
- Diced Onion
- Other condiments like ketchup & mustard for the hot dogs
Kids Bar:
- Mini Corn Dogs
- Pizza Bites
- Chicken Tenders
- Other condiments like ketchup & mustard for the hot dogs
I am pretty sure this one stole the show!
We also had bounce house that was a huge hit for adults and children.Â
I was too busy chatting with friends, enjoying the game, (ok not really) and playing with the kiddos to take any party pictures! I guess that’s what happens when you become a Mom and appreciate all the adult time you can get.Â
Questions: What did you do for the Super Bowl? Who were you rooting for?

love the themed spread you did!
We had our first Super Bowl party in our new home this year =) I love your chili bar, everything looked so football festive and yummy! And those boots … too cute!
I love the food theme. It looks like it was a ton of fun!!! Ooooh the days of double income and no children, sometimes I forget what we did with our weekends;) I looks like you had a great time!

Wow! Nice spread! Your guests were quite lucky!
I only watched the half-time show, so I don’t think that counts as me “watching” the Superbowl 🙂
I was rooting for the Seahawks and even though they won I wish we could have had a better game to watch! We just stayed in and watched it on the couch, but it was nice and relaxing before a busy week!
I’ve never heard that term! So what are you now? We were DINKS for a while so now are we… SIMKs or SITKs? (Single Income Multiple/Two Kids) :)I like it!
