Happy Friday!!!
This morning we slept in(first Friday in a while) and while Hubby was sleeping I quietly crawled out of bed and finally got the motivation to go for my Friday Fun Run!!
My friend Heather so graciously Facebooked me some wonderful running paths and I decided to take the one that went along the water 🙂
I couldn’t have had a more beautiful 6 mile run!!
I felt really good. I have been a little worried about my lack of running this week, because as Meghann so graciously reminded me we have only ONE MONTH until Chicago!!! I am missing two major long runs, but when I get back I will be hitting it hard and I am sure I will be fine. No need to be stressed while on vacation.
After my run Hubby and I packed our bags. We decided to head off to San Fran after all. The cabin we were staying in wasn’t available for another night and I completely forgot that we had reservations at a beautiful bed and breakfast!!
After loading up the car it was almost noon and I hadn’t eaten ANYTHING! We took off to hit up downtown Santa Cruz one last time for brunch. I had read great things about Zachary’s Restaurant online, so I thought I should try it our for myself 🙂
Hubby looking up stats (sports-aholic)
For brunch I went with the classic breakfast plate…
Apple Chicken Sausage (I only ate one slice).
I am OBSESSED with home fries and these are some of the best one’s I have ever had.
The meal also came with Oat and Molasses Bread, so good!
The perfect bite.
Plus Joe. I really liked this restaurant, affordable and delicious!
We made one more stop per a reader suggestion 🙂
The Pacific Cookie Company
She said they have some of the best cookies around. We took two to go. One Snicker doodle for Hubby and one Dark Chocolate Cranberry for me (we ate them, they were amazing!!!).
On our way to San Fran!!!
When we arrived in SF we went straight to our Hotel/Bed and Breakfast. While researching for a place to stay in SF, I found the most affordable and charming hotel. After looking up many great reviews on Yelp I decided to write them an email and see if we could review their beautiful place. When they said yes, I couldn’t wait!
Hotel Mirabelle
Built in 1906…
“Hotel Mirabelle is a quiet Victorian guesthouse much like you would have found in 1906 San Francisco. The Hotel was built right after the earthquake and has been carefully refurbished to reflect the period’s charm and grace.â€
When we arrived we entered straight into their back patio.
They have a nice safe place that even Easton could stay 🙂
I can’t wait to enjoy breakfast out here, or maybe even a drink tonight 😉
They have a ton of rooms and they are all so nicely decorated. Each one has a little theme to it.
I love all of their antique furniture, it gives it a real home feeling.
Snacks.
Books galore!
This gives me such inspiration for our Bed and Breakfast one day.
We are staying in the Souvenir room.
Loving the BAY window! I would love one of these in our bedroom at home 😉
Perfect blogging/reading/journaling spot.
When I looked out the window I was surprised to see a Juice Bar and…
a Coffee SHOP!!! Heaven 🙂
We have our own sink and mirror in the room, but we have a communal bathroom that is really nice. They supply robes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and towels. They are also super clean!
We also have a TV, Closet, Microwave, and Fridge.
More reading material 🙂
Loving the decor around the entire place.
I am already feeling right at home! The best part is, that we don’t have to drive anywhere we can catch the Bart right out our front door. I love public transportation systems.
All of this riding my bike/walking/public transportation systems, really makes me want to move. I really like where we live, I just wish I could get around sans car more often!!
Tonight Hubby and I are going to hit up the night life in downtown SF. Don’t wait up 😉
