RELAXATION CHECK!
Hubby and I had the most amazing three day two night anniversary/vacation!!! The theme of this vacation was DEALS! I got this amazing room at the The Rivera Palm Springs on Groupon for $82 a night. It’s normally a $200 room!
I didn’t carry my camera around much, but did get some great shots of our room ๐
Fancy Fancy
Ya, we didn’t watch any of that ๐
They had a cute little nook area that would be great if you want to use your laptop, but we left ours at home.
Love the colors of the bathroom.
The whole hotel if very retro. The Rat Pack used to stay here!
Loved the view of the palm trees outside, remind me of Hawaii.
The coffee cart ๐
After we checked in we spent some time by the pool and that got dressed for our first dinner out. I haven’t worn this dress in forever!!!
Monday morning we enjoyed a cup of coffee on the balcony and then I did a 5 mile run on the treadmill. Oh how I HATE the treadmill, but it was better then running outside in the 100 degree weather!!! They have a really nice gym ๐
Then it was on to BRUNCH! The women at the front desk recommended we try Pinocchio’s just around the corner. She was right, it was so delish!
We enjoyed some lovely Mimosas.Champaign at 10am why not were on vacation ๐
I ordered the Eggs Benedict with Salmon on an English muffin along side was some potatoes and hollandaise sauce. I asked for the sauce on the side, because I only wanted a little.
Can I eat this every morning?!!!
Hubby had their pancakes, which were the size of a small child!!!!
After breakfast we got our swim suits on and headed back to the pool ๐
I am reading The Help and I can’t put it down!!!!
So glad I brought snacks!!!
Along with the stay our Groupon came with 4 free drinks, 2 for each of us! I enjoyed 2 wonderful Marilyn Monroe’s (pina coladas). Plus just for checking in on Four Square (my new addiction) we got two more free drinks!! I just had some Riesling and lime. The rest of the day I enjoyed some Diet Tonic and lime, HYDRATION was important!!
I sported strips and floral, I know a total fashion no no I am sure, but comfort is more important to me!!
We met some awesome friends while we were at the pool who came all the way from Texas!! Gotta love making random friends on vacation ๐
After our 8 hours at the pool I we got all dolled up and headed out to our favorite Mexican restaurant, Las Casuelas
4 Years Baby!
I enjoyed a delicious fish taco, I could only eat one because the Margarita filled me right up!
Cheers to us!!!!
This morning I hit the Gym one more time (I am training for a Half Ironman) and we read by the pool for several more hours and headed back home. So sad to leave.
Such a fun celebration! I am so blessed to have married such a fun and sweet person!!!
Back to real life tomorrow ๐
I have some exciting news to share with you all this week, so stay tuned!!
